About Me
I live in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, a city richly steeped in history, culture, and the arts. Books, radio, music, television, movies, comics, video games, and the internet consume most of my waking hours. My tastes in fiction tend toward a number of genres – science fiction, fantasy, thriller, espionage, mystery, and classic literature. What little non-fiction I read tends to be rather broad. Philosophy, criminalistics, astrophysics, and history books adorn my shelf.
My WordPress Avatar is from one of the greatest webcomics in existence, PVP-Online.
About My Blog
My reading patterns tend to focus on authors. When I find an author whose work I enjoy, I tend to read as much of their published work as I can find. While this would normally lead to a rather boring format for a review blog, I luckily tend to read multiple authors simultaneously.
The chosen title of this log is “A Chain of Letters,” taken as a play on words from the social phenomenon Chain Letters.
My blogroll consists of a number of sites, varying in topic from books to technology to entertainment media. It also lists the sites of my friends – as influential on me as any thing I may read.
I expect the nature of “Chain of Letters” to evolve as I grow more comfortable with this format.
I have taken a page from Poodlerat’s book, and used Booksamillion.com as the source for the book covers used in each review. Many thanks for his amazing example in establishing a book blog.
The Hidden Side of a Leaf began an amazing campaign in Weekly Geeks #2 to expose readers to alternate reviews. Accordingly, if you have reviewed one of the same books or graphic novels as I, comment with a link to your review. I would be overjoyed to list your link in the appropriate posting and sincerely enjoy the opportunity (and added traffic) that this may bring.
